Author: Softinform
Kaliningrad, November 2007 - The MAPILab company announces the release of the new version of MAPILab Groupware Server 1.5. It is an ultimate groupware solution based on Microsoft Outlook for organizing teamwork without the deployment of Microsoft Exchange Server. This program is particularly designed for sharing public folders of Microsoft Outlook in real time mode. The MAPILab company did it best to meet demands of its customers in the new version of the program. Now through MAPILab Groupware Server installation on Microsoft Windows Vista, program components are automatically added to the list of Windows Firewall exceptions and connection of the server with clients is not blocked. A possibility to import local or domain users to the list of MAPILab Groupware users is also available in the new version. There is no need now to add each user to MAPILab Groupware Server separately as you can add local or Active Directory users with the help of a new wizard. ERP Version Upgrade: Microsoft Great Plains Example and General Notes
Author: Andrew Karasev
If you have been using your accounting and MRP application for the long time without investing into version update, now it might be time for you to consider getting updated. Assuming that you represent mid-size enterprise, you should expect that corporate ERP version upgrade is something that you should build the strong action plan for – to avoid your ERP shutdown time and possible rollbacks, if things are not going as expected. Additional considerations should be given to the situation when you have third party or custom-made modules: reports, integrations, EDI, etc. Let’s review what you should expect:
1. ERP annual maintenance plan. Nowadays software industry deploys this practice, when your purchase of MRP system just opens the door to ERP implementation, following support, access to newest versions, etc. Naturally, all these benefits have a cost for software development company and they are typically translated to you in the form of ERP annual enhancement program. Check with your ERP partner that you are current in this plan
2. Cross-platform integrations upgrade. In our opinion, ERP customers spend extra funds in cross platform scenarios, such as when their Sales Order Processing system is hosted in Linux/PHP environment and ERP application is Microsoft SQL Server and Windows based, here you should also recognize that MRP upgrade process requires IT person or programmer, who is comfortable with both platform: UNIX and Microsoft Windows in our example
3. Microsoft Dynamics GP upgrade scenarios. GP customizations, especially legacy ones were typically done in Great Plains Dexterity IDE and sanscript programming language. Reporting tools: FRx, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services or SRS, GP ReportWriter (where you modify such popular reports as SOP Blank Invoice Form) and Crystal Reports; eConnect opens the door to Microsoft Visual Studio .Net C# or VB developer to the realm of GP objects: customers, vendors, employees, GL transactions, Sales and Vendor Invoices
4. ERP rollback rescue. Obviously, we are optimists, however we should consider contingency plans, where we roll back to old positions. In the case of corporate ERP version update, rollback may cause substantial business opportunity loss
5. Switching from one ERP to another. When you have been operating on ERP A, it is not easy to switch to ERP B as it typically triggers fullscale data conversion and migration, employee retraining, custom logic reprogramming

A Beginner’s Guide to Data recovery
Hard Drive data recovery
When you lose data on your hard drive, you basically have two scenarios: a) you can still access your hard drive, and everything is ok with your operating system or b) your computer froze and doesn’t boot up, and possibly weird noises come from the hard drive.
Let’s tackle scenario a) first, with simple, easy to follow rules.
1. After data loss, never write to the hard drive.
When data is lost on a hard drive, the first rule you should follow is a simple rule of common sense: don’t write anything to that hard drive, until you recover what you’ve lost.
There is a very simple reason for this: when you delete something from your hard drive, the operating system (windows, mac os and linux for example) does not permanently delete that information. Instead, it only tells you that there is more free space – that space is still occupied by your deleted information, but it changes it state, from occupied to free.
One thing is true when it comes to data on your hard drive – what you see is not all you have on your hard drive.
This is true for lost files, but also for lost partitions. If you delete a partition, just leave it blank. You can’t see it, but data recovery software can. Same thing with formatted hard drives – you can still recover from a full format.
How do I delete files forever? If you want to erase files for security and/or privacy reasons you should use commercial software that does that job or contact a specialized data recovery company.
2. Restore your backups
If you did your homework, you should have up-to-date backups of all your vital information. This is the time to check on those backups, and eventually restore them, in order to retrieve the lost data.
In the unlikely event that you don’t have up-to-date backups of your data, you must start the process of data recovery, as explain in the following steps. But remember that in the future backups are your best chance of protecting vital and irreplaceable information. So back up often and store your backups in a safe location.
3. Don’t install data recovery software on the same hard drive where the data loss occurred
Remember step 1. If you install any software to the same hard drive where you lost data, you could overwrite that lost data forever.
4. Turn of your computer
To play it safe, right after your data loss, you should turn off the computer. Even the routine operation of the operating system depends on reads and writes from and to the hard drive, and your lost data can be overwritten in one of those.
5. Protect the hard drive
Remove the hard drive from the computer and connect another one, even an old one, as long as it had an operating system installed, so you can boot up your computer and later on analyse the hard drive where data loss happened. As an alternative, you can install your hard drive in another working computer, as a secondary drive, so you can access it without writing to it directly.
If your data loss happened because of a virus attack, be sure to have anti-virus software installed on the new hard drive.
Rescue disks to the rescue: If you are afraid of taking your computer apart, and you have a pre-prepared “rescue disk”, you can boot your computer from a bootable floppy disk, CD or DVD and go from there.
6. Chose your data recovery software
There are several freeware choices on the Internet, as well as many demos of well known commercial software programs.
You can try, at your own risk experimenting with these programs. In any case, if you have any questions, doubts, or don’t have the technical expertise to recover the lost data by yourself, you can always consult a data recovery company in your area.
Scenario b) happens when hard drive failure occurs.
A hard disk failure occurs when it becomes impossible to access the hard drive, due to internal or external factors. The factors vary, but the most common one if known as “head crash” – the head that reads the magnetic surface of the disk touches the metal surface, grinding against it and making normal reads impossible.
What makes up a hard drive? Platters, a motor, reading/writing heads and head actuators. The platters rotate using the motor and the heads read and write information in the place they are moved to by the actuator arm.
1. Shut off the computer and don’t try to restart it
When a physical error occurs in a hard drive, the best thing to do is not to try to restart the computer system. Further damage can be done to the hard drive if you try a restart.
2. Secure the hard drive
If your hard drive failed because of an external problem, you should preserve the hard drive as-is. This means that, for instance if you had a flood and the hard drive came in contact with water, you should preserve the hard drive in water, and never try to open or dry it by yourself.
My computer was underwater! In this case, the best thing to do is to take your hard drive out and store it in a plastic container full of water. You will send that container to the data recovery company.
2. Choosing a data recovery company
When a physical error occurs you shouldn’t try to fix it by yourself. Many times components must be repaired or even replaced and that can only happen in a clean room environment.
To maximise your chances of recovery, you should quickly find a data recovery company near you.
There are 4 main things you should consider when choosing a data recovery company:
a) The right equipment. The company you choose should have the right means to analyse and recover your lost data. Ask directly if they have at least one class 100 clean room.
b) A partnership opportunity. Will that company forge a partnership with your company? Do they offer training and long-term advices on how to better protect your data?
c) Expertise. Does that company specialize in the media you are trying to recover?
d) List of clients. Check out their website and the list of past clients. Does that list include big names, and a wide array of different industries? That is always a plus.
3. Send the hard drive for analysis
Most data recovery companies don’t charge you anything if they can’t recover your data. They will probably give you an estimate on how much you are going to spend before you have to pay anything, so take advantage of that.
Shop around for better prices, but remember step 2 – sometimes it’s worth it to pay something extra, if you get better equipment and a better track record working for you.
When you decide, send your hard drive in for an estimate. Use preferably the wrapping material that came with your hard drive. If you bought the hard drive along with your computer, use a soft wrapping material, such as an anti-static electrostatic discharge (ESD) bag. Use foam to secure the hard drive inside and prevent sudden movements.

Photo recovery software’s - need and importance
By Andrew Watson
The digital age has ushered in an era of convenience. Today it is possible to carry out thousands of activities with the help of our desktop. Digital cameras have emerged as an off shoot of this technological advancement. Cameras upported by new computer technologies have become an important source for self expression. Multimedia applications have come to occupy monstrous spaces on hard disks. Flash cards and memory cards today hold as much of information as USB drives.
Virtual albums and photo galleries have sprawled up on networking and photo sharing sites. This is because photo capturing and sharing has become much easier today. You can choose from a variety of camera and pick one most suited to your skills or requirements. The digital cameras store data on digital chip or removable media unlike regular camera that use photographic plate. The flash cards or removable cards offer high re-record-ability, power-free storage, small form factor, and rugged environmental specifications. There are few more advantages of using flash cards.
• Flash memory is noiseless.
• It allows faster access.
• It is smaller in size.
• It is lighter.
• It has no moving parts
• It offers high density storage.
Compact Flash is the main storage device used in digital cameras. It is a physical interface which is smaller than, but electrically identical to, the ATA interface. That is, it appears as a hard disk of some defined size and has a tiny IDE . Though this apparatus appears technologically sound, it is not fool proof. There is always a possibility of data loss. And in this expensive world of digital photography, losing your precious photographs is the last thing you want. One Accidental format, unwanted deletion or memory card corruption can spoil thousands of dollars worth of your effort. Your entire trips and photographs taken painstakingly may be ruined forever. To prevent this situation we must observe some basic precautions. They are:
• Always read your camera manual properly.
• Keep it handy while you travel.
• Always keep your batteries charged and have an extra memory card with you.
• Maintain your card back up regularly.
• Keep the camera away from extreme weather conditions and electronic disturbances.
• Check for their compatibility when using them with computer applications or photo editing software’s.
• Don’t panic if you suspect data loss. Avoid storing photographs on the same card till repair is carried out.
• Seek professional data recovery help.
In spite of our best efforts we still lose out on something and our silly mistakes may land us in trouble. Especially if you are a photography professional .Thank god there are photo recovery software’s. These software’s are useful for recovering photo / images after corruption due to the card being pulled out while the camera is on or turning the camera off during a write process They recover digital photo, images, audio files even after formatting of the digital storage media. The recovery is also possible for accidentally deleted photographs.
Stellar Information Systems offers Stellar Phoenix Digital Media Recovery Software that provides complete recovery for lost, deleted and formatted digital photos and audio files from removable media- after an accidental deletion, media format or corruption of media. Using this software is simple because of its interactive interface. The demo version of this software can be downloaded at http://www.stellarinfo.com/digital-media-recovery.htm
In spite of the availability of recovery software’s data safety cannot be completely guaranteed. This is precisely why everybody recommends regular data backup. The digital tide is still fresh. Our digital dreams are yet in their infancy and any mistake at this stage is enough to shatter them.Data recovery software’s prevent us from this disastrous situation. May be they are costly but are definitely worth a buy. After all nothing in the world is as precious as those photographs which capture you’re well deserved once in a life time holiday.

Legal Accounts Software
By groshan fabiola
We live in a fast-paced world. Everything seems to be happening against the clock, and keeping up with innovations is essential in many aspects of our lives. Computers and the Internet have already shaped our life style, and we have gotten so accustomed to making the most of them that we could hardly imagine a world without PCs or software. Computers and cutting-edge software have also had a tremendous impact on the way businesses are being conducted. Every day, a new piece of software is being launched on the market, and businesses of all kinds are already reaping the benefits of employing all kinds of software that improve their overall performance to a great extent. Computers and software have left no industry dull, and the legal practice is no exception. The diverse and complicated activities taking place within the legal practices are definitely easier to perform with the help of legal technology solutions. The number of practices employing legal software is constantly growing, as a direct result of the numerous benefits that legal technology solutions bring.
The legal technology solutions include legal billing software, e-conveyancing, digital dictation software, legal accounts software, online case tracking, and so forth.
Meeting the specific needs of each legal office, while benefiting from the ultimate management solution is now possible due to the legal accounts software. This solution is integrated and comprehensive, and if implemented properly, it meets all the required rules and standards, such as Legal Aid Franchising Quality Assurance Standards, Law Society rules and Lexel standards.
Holding all the information regarding clients and matters in a single database generates a significant maintenance time reduction, as well as cost savings. The legal accounts software allows for the information inside a legal office to be held in such a single data source, which is constantly and centrally used and updated. Furthermore, the full integration of the legal accounts software with other legal technology solutions ensures the simultaneous updating of the accounts information, which delivers great control.
Both the common management reports and the accounting reports, which are normally provided by sophisticated packages, are included in the legal accounts software. Any piece of information, from Client Matter Balances to Profit, Loss and Balance Sheet reports can be analysed with the help of this software. Moreover, the analysis can be performed either by department or by branch, and standard reports can be modified as they are running, due to their pre-installed parameters.
The other functions of good legal accounts software include Cheque Printing, Ledger Card, Time Recording and Automatic Bank Reconciliation. The Cheque Printing function allows the printing of customisable cheques, either for the firm or for clients, from any bank account. The Ledger Card function displays essential information, such as client, office, bill, disbursements, and deposit balances, related to the client’s matter. Choosing the most appropriate way to record your time is possible with the Time Recording function of the legal accounts software. The accuracy of the information inside the systems is increased and the time spent on duplicating work is substantially reduced. The Bank Reconciliation facility allows the analysis and cross-reference of batch payments and receipts, and displays the changing reconciled balance.

2 Best Ways to Effectively Fend Off Nasty Website Hackers
Author: Max Adams
Article:
Just a simple question: Are you willing to place your personal
computer outside your home for everyone to use? Well, you are
blessed with a humanitarian heart if your answer is yes. You
see, people will use your computer for different reasons. Some
will try to use in productive ways. They may use it as a source
of entertainment (through gaming), a way to share information
(Wikipedia/Social Networking), and a means of communication
(e-mail and chat).
However, there are also people who want to prove their computer
expertise in wrong ways. They like to show to the world that
they have the ability to bypass web security systems and access
accounts they do not own. These people are referred to as
hackers. If you give them the chance to, they will create
harmful web elements such as viruses and worms and inject them
to your computer system. Now, are you still inclined to the idea
of sharing your unprotected computer to the other people?
Well, even if you don't want to, you have no choice but to take
the risk of exposing your computer to many anonymous web users.
This is the initial requirement in networking. You can enter the
cyberworld only if you are willing to open the gateway to your
computer. Now, if you have a website that runs in your web
host's server, there is also a possibility that hackers can
access your files. If you have a database that holds
confidential client information such as their contact details
like e-mails, these hackers can get them. They can either sell
it to spammers or use it to swindle those people listed on the
record. This is a nightmare for all online businesses because
this may cause them to lose a sizable number of treasured
customers. If you are one of these website owners who have high
regards for security and customer satisfaction, protect your
website from hackers by following the simple and effective ways
outlined below:
1. Change Passwords Regularly
Frequently changing passwords will make your website less
vulnerable to hackers. They will not be able to make a clear
pattern after your recent log-ins if you will try to be random
and choosy when it comes to passwords. Just a reminder, though,
make sure to keep a record of your passwords so you have
something to refer to in case your memory failed you. Likewise,
password protect each and every folder in your server.
2. Make Use Of Available Resources
It is not enough to change passwords often because hackers can
still break in to an account by creating a specially designed
software. You see, most hackers are computer geniuses. Once you
put a barrier on their way, they will find other passages to
your account or system. So, it will be better if you will let
other available resources, like the latest anti-virus and
firewall software, to help you in your fight against these
merciless hackers. Turn on the firewall. Look for the most
trusted antivirus software in the market and once installed,
don't forget to update it.
In addition, buy an SSL (secure socket layer) certificate. This
certificate can be installed in a web server and will allow
secure channeling of sensitive information such as consumers'
credit card numbers. Without SSL, hackers can retrieve any
information that passes through a non-secure connection.

Take Immediate Action
If your computer is doing any of the above I suggest you take immediate action. These symptoms may not seem like a big deal right now... but believe me, you've got company. Unwanted guests have moved into your computer and they've left the door wide open for their buddies. From here on, things will only get worse if you fail to take swift action to nip this problem in the bud. Here are 4 simple steps that will help you get your computer under control and keep it there.
Step #1: Always Run More Than 1 Spyware Removal Program
If your computer has any of the symptoms above and you already have a good spyware removal program, run it immediately. That's the first step. But typically, a spyware removal utility may be great at detecting one type or family of spyware, but may NOT be quite so good at detecting another type. In my opinion, no one spyware removal application will get the whole job done. For instance, I often run my favorite spyware removal application and it might detect 50 or more spyware programs on my computer... then I immediately run a second spyware detection tool that may turn up a dozen more spyware that the first application did NOT find.
If I had stopped after running just one anti-spyware utility, you can bet that with 50+ spyware removed, my computer's performance would have improved dramatically... BUT... there were still a dozen spyware left I didn't even know about ... which means my computer was still very much at risk. So, do yourself a favor, always keep at least three good anti-spyware utilities in your arsenal and run them back to back. It's the best way to do a thorough and comprehensive scan for the different types of spyware that may be infecting your pc.
Fortunately, there are many good spyware removal utilities available that are either free or cheap, usually between $30 - $40 bucks. Most allow you to run the first scan free, so try running a free scan with a few of them to see which ones you like best. Here are links to 3 of the most effective spyware removal programs I've found, and to Spybot Search & Destroy, the best free spyware removal utility available.
SpyZooka - http://www.Spyzooka.the-spyware-remover.com
XoftSpySE - http://www.Xoftspy.the-spyware-remover.com
Spyware Nuker - http://www.Nuker.the-spyware-remover.com
SpyBot Search & Destroy - http://www.safer-networking.org
Whatever spyware applications you choose, once you've cleaned up your computer, make it a habit to always run back-to-back scans immediately after surfing the Net. Of course, If you've only done one quick search on a known trusted site, a spyware scan probably isn't necessary. But if you've visited a number of different sites...run a scan. You can always set it running in the background while going about your regular tasks. The scan results will automatically move to the foreground when the scan is complete.
Step #2: Run A Virus Scan On Your Computer At Least Twice A Week
After running at least two good spyware removal utilities on your computer back-to-back, now it's time to run a virus scan. You might already have McAfee or Norton Anti-Virus software on your computer. If so, that'll do. Either of these utilities will, for the most part, get the job done. Personally, I no longer rely on Norton or McAfee for virus protection. There are several other very good products I believe to be a bit more effective at both preventing and removing virus infections. Here are two of my favorites, but any good anti-virus program will likely do the trick:
The Shield Pro --- http://www.ShieldProAntivirus.the-spyware-remover.com
Kaspersky Anti-Virus --- http://www.Kaspersky.the-spyware-remover.com
Whichever virus cleaning utility you decide to use, be sure to set it up to automatically scan your computer for viruses at least a couple of times a week.. And of course, whenever your computer exhibits any of the symptoms listed above, run a virus scan manually as the second step in the cleanup process. Remember, you don't have to sit and watch these scans run. A full virus scan could take an hour or more. So, just get it started and go on about your business. Check back in about an hour and the scan should be done.
Step #3: Clean Your Computer's Registry
After completing steps 1 and 2 above, the next step is to clean your registry. The Window's registry is a part of your computer system that you probably know very little about. Yet, it plays a critical role in your computer's performance. It stores settings and options for your hardware, operating system, and other software. Unfortunately, because of its vital role, it is frequently the primary target of a computer virus, and damage to the Registry can render a Windows system virtually unbootable. In extreme cases it may even require a full reinstall of Windows.
Other things that can adversely effect your Windows registry is applications that for one reason or another, fail to install or uninstall properly and then leave entries in the registry. This can lead to system performance or even stability problems. A registry problem might cause symptoms such as, strange error messages when you first turn on your computer, or might cause programs to frequently hang when you try to close them, in some cases requiring a CTL-ALT-DELETE command in order to unhang your system.
So, after running both a spyware and virus scan, the next step is to thoroughly clean your registry using a registry cleaning utility. This program will scan and identify entries in the registry that can be safely removed. These entries are typically remnants that were left behind from unsuccessful installs and uninstalls, disabled drivers, or spyware programs.
As you can see, registry cleaning is an important part of mainitaining your computer's health and should not be overlooked. A good registry cleaning application will optimize the speed and performance of your Microsoft Windows system. Three of the best registry cleaning products available are:
RegCure --- http://www.Regcure.the-spyware-remover.com
RegSweep --- http://www.Regsweep.the-spyware-remover.com
Error Nuker --- http://www.Errornuker.the-spyware-remover.com
Whichever product you decide to use, just be sure to... --Continued--

Computer Viruses: The Nasty Truth
The term, “virus”, in computer technology, refers to a self replicating application that spreads by making copies of itself by inserting into other programs, other executables or documents, and when executed begins to perform harmful actions on the system. All computer viruses are deliberately created, not always malicious and some of them may be benign and simply annoying.
Non-Memory Resident and Memory Resident Viruses:
Non-Memory resident viruses, when they are executed, immediately look for other hosts that can be infected. When they infect these targets, they transfer control to the application program they infected. A non-resident virus has a finder module and a replication module. The finder module, once it finds a new file to infect, calls upon the replication module to infect that file.
Memory-Resident virus stays in the memory and do not look for hosts to infect when they are executed. It stays active in the background after its host program is terminated, and infects files as soon as they are opened or accessed by other programs or the operating system. It does have the replication module like the non-memory resident virus, but without the finder module.
Types of Computer Viruses:
File Viruses: These types of viruses are the most common, and mostly infect open files and program libraries on an operating system. The virus functions by inserting itself into a host file, modifies it in such a way that the virus is executed when the file is opened. They are also known as left viruses. Today, there are known viruses infecting all kinds of executables of standard DOS: batch command files (BAT), loadable drivers (SYS, including special purpose files IO.SYS and MS- DOS.SYS) and binary executables (EXE, COM). There are also viruses targeting executables of other operating systems - Windows 3.x, Windows95/NT, OS/2, Macintosh, Unix, including the VxD drivers of Windows 3.x and Windows95.
Macro viruses: Macros are used in most word processing programs such as Microsoft Office in order to automate or simplify recurring tasks in documents. Macro viruses are those viruses that use the application's own macro programming language to distribute themselves, in which an unwanted sequence of actions is performed automatically when the application is started or something else triggers it. These macro viruses may inflict damage to the document or to other computer software but are relatively harmless, and are often spread as an e-mail virus.
Boot Viruses: These were one of the most common viruses prevalent during the early and mid 1990s, when the use of diskettes was popular. These viruses infect or substitute their own code for either the DOS boot sector or the Master Boot Record (MBR), which controls the boot sequence of the PC. The MBR is executed every time a computer is booted so the virus will also be loaded into memory on every startup and spreads to every disk that the system reads. They are typically very difficult to remove, and most antivirus programs cannot clean the MBR while Windows is running. So, bootable antivirus disks are needed to fix boot sector viruses.
Script viruses: They are a division of file viruses, written in a variety of script languages such as VBS, JavaScript, BAT, PHP, HTML etc. They can form a part of multi-component viruses or infect other scripts such as Windows or Linux command and service files. If the file format, such as HTML, allows the execution of scripts, they can infect it.

Modern diseases: computer viruses and antivirus treatment
Don’t worry; technological diseases have nothing to do with your personal health, unless you are a computer owner and your nerves break down easily!
! See, once your computer gets connected with the global net it faces various threats and attacks from unfriendly microelements walking freely through the cyber space and seeking for new victims. It doesn’t help if you wash your hands before touching the keyboard; the little monsters called computer viruses could be defeated in their own methods. This is where the sword and shield aren’t able to help your romantic tendencies and the only way to eliminate this gross injustice is to accept a battle with electronic weapons!
While computer viruses behave pretty much like biological ones, they need special treatment that admits no analogy in biological terms. As insidious as their biological correspondents, they infect every living cell and spread around in record time. Thus, if you really need a functional pc, you should procure some electronic pills to get your work safe.
In this case you cannot become a faithful guardian to your machine until you have installed an antivirus program skilled enough to detect viruses, worms and Trojan horses - all “trustful” members of a happy family! It is important to keep clear about the differences between these sorts of malware, in order to protect your computer from them all. Viruses, as we used to know them when first dealing with a computer are no more that widely spread since the Internet became popular. Once again: you need an antivirus that helps against viruses, worms and Trojan horses (not only viruses)!
See the slight differences in methods and effects:
Viruses intend to destroy your data. They act in sly movements and this is how the predominant negative effect of viruses is their uncontrolled self-reproduction, which wastes or overwhelms computer resources, until your cyber work space doesn’t leave you room for your actions.
But since we’ve got Internet connection we have to deal with the most popular visitors from “out there”! Introduce yourself to malicious worms: worm uses a network to send copies of itself to other systems and it does so without any intervention, thus, you stay helpless face to face with it. In general, worms harm the network and consume bandwidth, whereas viruses infect or corrupt files on a targeted computer. Viruses generally do not affect network performance, as their malicious activities are mostly confined within the target computer itself.
And here is the moment when the masquerade starts: Trojan horse is a malicious program that is disguised as legitimate software. Trojans use false and fake names to trick users into dismissing the processes. In most cases the program performs other, undesired functions, but not always. The useful, or seemingly useful, functions serve as camouflage for these undesired functions.
While some of them are particularly benign or simply annoying, others are extremely harmful and deadly dangerous. In analogy, just compare a regular cold with pneumonia… no need to mourn for you computer! What it really needs is an anti-virus protection. Remember, they are active in this certain moment, when you’re peacefully typing. Hurry up to get protected and try out PC Tools AntiVirus 2.0 as a fair suggestion.

Benefits of Buying Software Online
Benefits of Buying Software Online
By : Terry Fitzroy
Online software can save you a great deal of time and provide you with a lot more choices than you might find locally but it can also be a little tricky to navigate especially if you are new to buying software online. Whether you are buying new software or upgrading an existing program here are some tips to help make it all less complicated. Read Reviews The toughest part about buying software is that you don't get to try before you buy. If you are buying software you've used before great you know what to expect, but if you are simply choosing and hoping you're making the right choice, then customer reviews can tell you a lot about a piece of software. In fact they can help make that decision a whole lot easier. Compatibility Make sure the software you are purchasing is compatible with your operating system, as well as the right amount of memory and disk space. For software to function correctly you must have at least the minimum requirements. Read The Description You can become a little more familiar with a piece of software by reading the description on the box. It should also tell you the capabilities of the software. Make sure it's what you want because software is non-refundable. Reputation Means Everything Buy all software from a reputable company so that you can be sure you are getting an original and not a pirated version. You also want to make sure shipping is timely and that there is customer service. You can always check with the Better Business Bureau if you aren't sure. Price Check The biggest perk to shopping online is the competitive pricing so make sure you do plenty of price checking to make sure you get the best price around. Pay By Credit Card Paying by credit card is a smart option because you will get some protection from the credit card company should the software not be delivered or as described. Learn The Return Policy You should know the return or refund policy before you buy any software. Software is usually non-returnable unless it is damaged in which case it's usually an exchange. However, you still need to know how many days the policy is good for. A new method of buying software online includes paying and downloading. The ability to immediately download has certainly been advantageous. Now you can decide you need a piece of software and in no time you can buy, download, and begin to use. If you are new to downloading on the web, relax because it can be a lot of fun. Many software packs comes with a trial period which is fantastic! You can try it for however many days the trial is for and then if it's what you want you can buy it. They'll send you a key code, which you enter into the trial version, and suddenly you have the full software package. If you don't like it, simply uninstall it and forget about it. Buying software online is quick, easy, and so much more affordable than you might think.
